If one goes to Vietnam and stays for two weeks supporting different tank units in different parts of Vietnam. Then goes again further north to quantri close to the dmz for 9 days is he Vietnam era or Vietnam vet?

If one sets foot on the soil of The Republic of Vietnam during the time of the war, then he is a Vietnam veteran. Setting "boots on the ground" anywhere and for any length of time in country ensures eligibility for the agent orange presumptive disability list.
