Question:

I am a 100% disabled vet, had a car accident on 12/15/19 , right before I was due to turn 65 on 1/1/20. I hadn't yet signed up as a Plan B participant , but, I think you are covered even though you haven't signed yet. Well, my bills are rolling in and everything coming back from the VA and Community Care show they are not paying for anything. My ambulance bill is now at a debt collector, and my hospital and complication from my accident are also unpaid. I am trying to upgrade my credit and I do not need these outstanding debts on my credit report. I thought the Millenium Act had entitled us to payment for ambulance service if needed at a non-VA facility. Some guidance on who or where to contact would be helpful.

The Millennium Act was supposed to have taken care of all that but it didn't. This is the latest about emergency coverage and may help you.
