Question:

Jim, Can you assist with my situation? I(we) filed taxes jointly in 2018. We have not received a Stimulus Check. I receive Social Security and get VA benefits (Vietnam). We are well qualified to receive the check. However, the IRS indicates our payment status is not available. Does the fact that I receive VA benefits have anything to do with this? You helped me before. I hope you can do it again.

I hate to say it but I don't think anyone can answer your question. For what it's worth, I haven't seen a hint of a check and we file taxes every year. I think the truth is that your federal government is in a bad way this week and there are a lot of things going on that we don't understand. 

There are a ton of supposed "tools" published on-line that promise to tell you about your eligibility and so on but from my own experience, none of them work. It's frustrating that we aren't being given good intel but it is what it is and you and I will just have to wait and see what plays out.
