Question:

How long does it normally take for the Joint Services Records Research Center to confirm a PTSD Stressor?  It has been approximately 3 months and the VA keeps changing/extending the date.

The process can take a while...months on months extending to years, unfortunately. Trying to root out records from forward positions, extended active fire battles, firefights, covert missions that you may not have known were a part of your own duty and are still classified will all have to be gathered and investigated. Records aren't usually of primary concern on the battlefield and the position that you're in isn't at all unusual. There really isn't much to be done to speed the process along, you're in a very long line. More information is here
