I didn't apply for benefits for prostate cancer until after I finished treatment. Is there anyway I can get the money I missed during treatment?

No, unfortunately not. The effective date of a claim is the date you file it and not before. VA expects that we'll all know these things but sometimes we don't and while that may not seem fair, that's the law.
