Question:

Hi, I am divorced from my husband of 45 years, for 2 years now.  He is collecting 100 % disabillity compensation,and pays me by our divorce decree, $1,500 per month.  I do not have any income besides alimony and $700 social security.
Since alimony is court ordered and if he is put in assisted living , will he be exempt from paying my alimony? Will the VA take back the alimony?

In most instances it's safe to assume that if he is living and has adequate income, your support payments should continue unless and until a court orders otherwise.
