MOS, C & P exam & Persian Gulf claims
Question:
What does MOS have to do with a C&P exam for chronic migraines? My MOS was 71C (executive administration), however I was deployed to the Persian Gulf and exposed to several things, organophosphates, oil fire smoke, bromide, as well as depleted uranium. I contested my examiner's findings and she responded that my MOS did not support exposure claim. Also, are you one of the Veterans working with Persian Gulf claims?
Jim's Reply:
An MOS is a standard descriptor of what the usual work assignment is day to day. There's nothing unusual about asking that for any medical exam. The lawyers I work with day to day (here) manage Persian Gulf Claims. However, I don't understand it when you tell me that you contested an examiners findings? If you disagreed with the C & P examiner report prior to receiving a decision where you could have filed a formal appeal, you've thrown a monkey wrench into the process and will only slow things way down. Talk with a lawyer today.
