Retired vet now caring for grandchildren
Question:
I am a retired veteran of 23 years and I receive no disability payments. Filed three times and disapproved. But my question is my wife divorced me just prior to my retirement in 1994 . I had custody of my two sons she receives 43 percent of my retirement, I went for child support and she was required to pay $50.00 a month but failed to do, so when my youngest turned 18 I only received $1500. Now my two sons are divorced with kids, Because of their work schedules, I have become a parent again taking care of 4 grandchildren. Their mother is not involved, they have no contact with her or even know if she is alive . Is there any legal way I can get my retirement back to help with these kids?. I am in my final years, these kids' welfare is first on my priority list. I served as Vietnam era vet to desert storm

You'd have to sue her for it and that means talking with a local lawyer who understands the law as it works in your region. You'd have to pay the lawyer so I have doubts it's worth pursuing.
