Question:

I was deemed 100% disabled by the VA in 2005, then made permanent in 2009.  I’ve only drawn SS benefits as a retiree,  not as SSDI.  Was I entitled to SSDI and, if so, would they pay me retroactively?  I’m 71 now!

I don't know whether or not you would have been entitled to SSDI. In any case, I don't know of any process that would allow you to claim benefits as you propose...I doubt it's possible.
