Hi Jim. Love your site. Very informative. I served in Viet Nam from 1966 -1968. I am getting ready to file for diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. What kind of test do I need for neuropathy? What rating do you think I will get? I have tingling in my extremities but no numbness. My right foot is red, prickly and itches like crazy usually.

I don't try to guess at future ratings. The ratings process is complex and convoluted so any guess I make is usually wrong. Peripheral neuropathy may require nerve conduction as well as some other types of sophisticated exam to determine just how bad the disease is.
