Disability rating info changed

Question:

I was awarded  Permanent and Total disability 9 years ago due to unemployability. I lived in SC and have received property tax  exemption until Nov 2018. The VA has a new format ( since I got my rating in 2010). I moved to Arkansas and was not able to pull up my  letter due to my address not being changed. I have a fiduciary who has  to approve or do the address change which I requested 1 1/2 months  ago. I asked the VA benefits department to mail me my letter so I  could give to the tax assessor. When I received the letter the format  is different and it states I am not 100% disabled due to the service.  So for 9 years I have been total and permanent, my husband receives  medical, we have px and commissary and I have disabled car tags.  Arkansas only looks at the 80% and says I don’t qualify but if the  letter format had not changed I would be good. Who can help me clear  up this problem?

You can consult with your state's veteran support system...usually referred to as County Veterans Service Officers or CVSOs. Start here and get some help local to you.
