You should call law enforcement if you're threatened or get in touch with a Vet Center for some longer term help .

• PS from StatesideLegal:  You can use the "Find Legal Help" directory to look for LSC providers in your state -- many provide free legal services to victims of spousal abuse and their children.  In addition, you should contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233) for 24/7 support and advice and they can connect you with local nonprofit agencies that provide this support in your community.
