Question:

I was recently awarded disabilty by the VA with an effective date Dec 2016. I received 12 months back pay, I believe it should have been for 24 months, if so how do I go about getting this corrected? Thanks.

You'll need to file a NOD...Notice of Disagreement, and tell VA in writing what you think is wrong and why. That isn't difficult to do and if you're correct, that should solve the problem.
