I don't know of anything specific that would apply to a veteran in SoCal. I'll suggest that you begin here https://statesidelegal.org/taxonomy/term/4673 and use those guides to start a search for an appropriate resource. Foreclosures on VA loans are governed by state rules and regs and usually conform to those standards just like any other defaulted loan and finding experienced local help will be to your advantage.
