Question:

If you are active duty and diagnosed with prostate cancer [and] had a prostatectomy to remove the cancer,  are you entitled to Convalescent Pay Under 38 CFR 4.30?  If I am entitled, I never received it while on active duty. I am now retired, my doctor did not say a word about the temporary convalescent rating and pay.

No. If you're active duty,  veterans rules don't apply to you.
