Problems at work

Question:

I am having problems at work. I file an antiharrasment against a couple worker who used to be my roommate and a manager who is her former manager. I recently learned that I was formally being investigated by the IRS police because someone made a false report that I made the threat to come here at work and shoot and kill everyone with a machine gun. I work for the IRS and I am a disabled veteran. Can you give me a referral to and attorney pro Bono who can help me with this. I do not earn a lot to spend on extra stuff. I just earn enough to pay my bills. I also have been searching for another federal job for a very long time. Thanks in advance.

I can't offer you a direct referral. You can use the search functions available on Stateside Legal to look for legal aid in your geographic region. Finding legal help that is specific to your need is often a challenge...persistence may pay off. Make a lot of phone calls.

  • PS from StatesideLegal:  Using the "Find Legal Help" map for your community, search for LRS providers.  They should be able to give you a referral for a low-cost consultation with  a local attorney who specializes in employment issues.  If you are criminally charged, you may be eligible for a court-appointed attorney or public defender at no cost to you.
