Charges against Purple Heart Disabled Marine
Question:
Trespassers were stealing packages and during detainment, one was kicked in the face. He is in juvenile hall as he assaulted my husband and we did a citizen arrest. He was with an adult who are both serial purse snatchers. Now the mother of the minor wants to press charges on my husband, a purple heart disabled marine.
Jim's Reply:
Disabled veterans aren't offered any special treatment or privileges in civil or criminal legal conflicts. If criminal charges are brought, the person charged will need a criminal defense attorney and VA won't pay for any of that.
