Should I apply for TDUI?
Question:
I’m 20 percent service connected for a urethral stricture and 50 percent for major depression secondary to the strictures. See a private urologist and private psychiatrist. I was service-connected in
2009; my conditions are not improving. I also collect SSDI since 1995 for back problems and depression. My question is should I apply for an increase and TDUI? I am 57 years old and don’t see myself getting any vocational rehab. What should I do?
Jim's Reply:
If you aren't able to hold gainful employment, then yes...you should file for TDIU. The TDIU benefit is designed for veterans like you with your ratings. Good luck.
