I haven't spoke to you in a while but was hoping I might ask a question to see if you may have an answer. I receive VA I/U and SS disability. I recently had a stroke and sometimes have hard time getting online. I am wondering if I can invest some of my retro VA snd SS money in to some kind of interest paying account and not be penalized by the gov't. If you have the time to reply I would be grateful.

If you mean would the interest accruing be taken (or offset) from your payments, no it would not.

As long as you aren't working...gainfully employed...you may have sources of income from rentals, investments or even hitting a slot machine jackpot with no penalty.
