Retroactive pay
Jim,
I received VA disability of 10% in 1992 on my first application. My condition worsened and I called the VA to make another application in 2008. The lady on the phone told me she would back date my claim to the original date of 1992. Due to medical reasons, I was unable to complete that application and it closed. I reapplied for additional rating in June 2011. On the first application, I was granted 100%, but only back pay from June 2011. How do I get my back pay to 1992 now????..

I can't imagine why you were told of such retroactive pay. Claims are closed one year after you have received a disability rating. To keep a claim open beyond the one year date requires that you keep the claim active, usually with an appeal.
The only path available to you is to make a claim that in the older claims there was a Clear and Unmistakable Error (CUE) by VA in some steps of processing the claim. That is a very difficult process and you should seek an attorney to represent you if you think there has been a CUE.
