Foreclosure Overview

You may qualify for free legal help with foreclosure. If your family is at risk of losing their home to foreclosure, go to our "Find Legal Help" map to find the civil legal aid program that serves your county of residence.  Many of these free legal aid providers have posted information explaining their State's foreclosure process on their program websites.  In addition, many of the legal aid providers have added staff to handle foreclosures free of charge.  They may be able to help directly or refer you to another program that can.
