Question:
I was in Vietnam 1970-1971. I would like to know if I would be entitled to any benefits that I have not received yet? During this time, I was stationed in Quinon, South Vietnam.at HHC41st Signal Battalion.. If you need more information, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you
Jim's Reply:
it's hard for me to answer that since I don't know what benefits you may have taken advantage of over the years. In general terms, there isn't any difference between a "combat vet" and others unless a purple heart comes into play. The GI Bill, VA home loans, health care and disability benefits associated with agent orange exposure all come to mind. You can explore the offerings of benefits at the VA web site here
