Question:
Hello. Are you available to speak over the phone about a civil legal matter a relative is experiencing in a state correctional facility in Missouri who is also a veteran?
Jim's Reply:
I don't usually spend a lot of time on the phone. I find that using email gives us a much better record of what we've said and we can use our emails as reference in the future. In the case of an inmate who has a civil problem while incarcerated, only an experienced attorney who has access to all pertinent records is going to be able to advise you.
- PS from StatesideLegal: Use the "Find Legal Help" directory to search for an LRS provider in Missouri -- they can provide a low-cost legal consultation (on a wide range of legal problems -- you need to identify what problem you want to ask questions about) and can generally do this for you over the phone.
