VA reducing disability for heart disease

Question:

Hello Jim, I received a letter from the VA telling me they are going to reduce my Ischemic heart disease by 10% from 60% which would reduce my benefits by $200. I served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam 1968 1969 Infinity 0311 and was exposed to Agent Orange.   I received a consult dated 11/15/17 stating Provincial Diagnosis: Atherosclerotic Heart Disease of Native Coronary Artery without Angina Pectoris. Is this related to Ischemic Heart Disease? Thank you for all your help.

Jim's Mailbag:

Yes, it's the same thing as IHD. You can appeal any decision to lower a benefit and I'd advise you to do that. Please click here for more information.
