I was told on a chat site that you were a person who could give good input on VA ratings. I recently received a 100% IU and P/T for parkinsons and PTSD. Overall rating was at 80%. My question: Can the VA at some point in time come back and take this from me? I am unable to work due to the progression of parkinsons and all of my evaluations state this. Appreciate any light you might shed on the subject.

Yes, absolutely. Any time VA thinks there may be "improvement" they may move to lower a rating. Ratings are very rarely "protected" and have some strict linits about how that happens.
However...having said that...it is very unlikely that those ratings you mention would be reexamined. Your age and the seriousness of the conditions make it really next to impossible for VA to touch them so they probably won't try.
