Question:
I am 100% disabled veteran TDIU. I also am receiving Medicare. Medicare paying 80% do I need a supplement? Is Champva available for Medigap for the veteran? I use all VA physicians now except for my cardiologist /Oncologist and vascular surgeon that the VA has approved payment for as I live 76 miles from the VA hospital.

Whether or not you need a supplement is a very individual question. It really depends on what you think you'd need it for...supplements can be expensive. Like you, I use both VA care and a civilian doctor using my Medicare and I choose to not have a supplemental policy. CHAMPVA is not available to veterans, only to the dependents of 100% P & T veterans.
