3/29/19 Notified 100% temporary disability
5/1/19 Received first check
5/16/19 Received back pay to filing date

Thanks for sharing. That timeline sounds fairly typical and it begs the question...why so long? Prostate cancer in the Vietnam veteran is presumptive and requires no effort or investigation by VA. That it would take nearly 6 months to wrap up your claim is entirely too long.
