Question:
Have Parkinsons Disease. VA rates it 30 percent.I have to put in increases to raise the rating for the other body parts. Had a MRI small vessel disease. This affects your motor symptoms, memory and others. Would this raise my rate? 30 percent is too low and their starting rate. thanks
Jim's Reply:
Parkinsons Disease that is service connected gets a 30% rating that tells you that VA recognizes you have the disease. From there you must claim each individual symptom if you want to see the rating rise. If you have tremors, speech difficulties, difficulty swallowing and so on you must list each symptom and the severity in your new claim. This is a good place to start .
