Agent Orange Cancer?

Question:

I am a Vietnam vet and have been exposed to Agent Orange. The VA is not providing me with Service connectivity for my Throat Cancer. Current literature exists that connects Head and Neck Cancers to AO exposure.

Jim's Reply:

Unfortunately what you're reading isn't law, it's theory and conjecture from scientific studies. The law dictates a list...the presumptive list...of conditions that are ceded by the government to be associated with agent orange. Throat cancer is not on the list. No matter how you feel about what you've read, if a condition isn't on the list VA will not award benefits for that presumptive condition.

If you want to make a claim that your cancer was caused by agent orange exposure you'll need an IMO that agrees with you and backs that up with science. Learn more here: https://www.vawatchdog.org/imo-ime-medical-opinions-exams.html
