Question:
I know you offer much needed advice to many, but don't always get a follow-up. In Oct I explained to you how my prostate disability was reduced to 10% although my PSA continued to rise. On your advice I filed a higher level review. In Jan I received a call from my reviewer. I went over everything with her, and she agreed a mistake had been made. This allowed me to submit new information that is usually not allowed in a HLR. Was notified last week that I had been upgraded to 100%. The reduction came about because of a C&P exam done by a sub contractor.
My advice for anyone filing a HLR, make sure you take advantage of a phone conversation with your reviewer. My reviewer was very understanding & told me her father is a Viet vet and she treats all vets with respect. Also had a teleconference C & P exam with a Dr who was very familiar with my records..
