Question:
I have a 30% rating for Ischemic Heart Disease. I have chronic angina as a result of IHD. My treatment includes a daily time released nitroglycerin tablet and I also take 0.4 mg Nitrostat under the tongue as needed. Can I claim a secondary for chronic pain?
Jim's Reply:
Interesting concept but I have doubts. Since the pain is intermittent and episodic I have concerns about chronicity. You can file that claim...there is no penalty for trying.
