Question:
I have a child (2y/o) with a man who is receiving disability from military. Is she entitled for that money to be calculated in child support and if so how can we access the information to see how much he gets for her?
Jim's Reply:
If you are seeking child support and you aren't married to the veteran you must head to family court and prove paternity. Once that's done the court can then establish child support and alimony orders as appropriate. All parties will be required to complete accurate and truthful financial statements and that's when you'll learn what his earnings are.
