Question:
Mr Jim, any chance of service connection for diabetes I have had for over 25 years? Was diagnosed 2 years out of service; I injured my knees while I was in service. I have gained 80 pounds from inactivity and I also suffer from mental depressive disorder. Trying to say my depression and service connected knees has either caused or aggravated my DM.

You may want to go for it. That you were diagnosed 2 years out of service is a bit long but if you can tie that back to any blood work, urinalysis or other medical records that show you were predisposed to the diseas during service, you may set a service connection. It's probably worth a try...I'd start filing now
