CHAMPVA denial

Question:

Hello, my husband is on total and permanent disability (80% service and 20% from unemployability) and considered "to be totally and permanently disabled due solely to your service connected disability". I signed up for Champ VA and received it but, one year after signing up, there is a question of eligibility, plus I just had a surgery for skin cancer (they only allowed for the lesser procedure) and it needs to be redone this time using the MOHS procedure which was denied the first time around) and now they are denying follow-ups. I could use your help. Thank you

It's my experience that CHAMPVA often questions eligibility of the TDIU veteran. It often takes an appeal and a fair amount of work to get eligibility set for the long run. The same is true of denials, all you can do is to follow the rules and appeal as you are able to.
