Question:
I'm getting ready to move after 10 years of renting from my landlord. I put up a $4k wooden fence and landscaped the yard of over $2k of plants. He's quoting me a lease number in my lease that states they are considered upgrades to his property and I'm not allowed to take any of it with me, but none of it touches his home. The fence doesn't touch his house and last year he offered me $1500 for it when I was going to move. But now he's together with a realtor and since then he's throwing this lease in my face and threatened me that if I take the fence or any plants, I better get a lawyer.
