Question:
I was a test subject in 1969 at Edgewood Arsenal. For the past 2 years I have been ill. I have gone to my Primary care Doctor who referred me to different specialists. They have not been able to find what is wrong, therefore they are unable to help. Have been trying to get records since Dec. 2017. Still haven't gotten them. Do not know where to turn. Would you know what type of attorney I might need to check into this?
Jim's Reply:
Have you filed a claim for VA disability benefits? If not, you should. Once you file for VA disability benefits the VA is required to provide you with some assistance in finding appropriate records. Until you file a claim, an attorney really won't be able to help you search for records. You don't need records to file the claim...you only need to allege that there is a connection between your current illness and your participation in the Edgewood Arsenal project. Get the ball rolling by filing a claim.
