Jim,
It's been awhile since my last email. Just to refresh your memory, I'm a mother helping to file a VA claim for my son whose a Gulf Was vet. He was diagnosed in 2003 with schizophrenia and we filed a claim under PTSD. He had been denied 3 times prior. I should know the VA's tactics by now but just to get reassurance so my son won't give up again.....and praying that in the meantime he won't become a statistic....this is indeed their tactic, right? Delay, delay, delay? So far he's gotten 3 letters (Dec, Jan, & Mar) informing him that "We are still processing your application for COMPENSATION". My question to you is how much longer can we expect to go through this dog and pony show before they send another denial and we can consult a lawyer? Many thanks in advance!

There is a serious backlog. It is taking many claims 2 years to be processed.
