Getting Records from the VA

would you know how to get a copy of dr. report from comp exam? Also did you ever hear this,my original claim 7-18-2011 from reno sent to St Louis for decision sent my NOD to St Louis they sent it to Chicago. Thanx for your time

Getting records requires that you write a letter to the regional office where your c-file is located.

A simple letter delivered by certified mail is all it takes.

Once you deliver your request, you get the green receipt back and then you wait...and wait. While you're at it, you might as well request the entire c-file.

This only applies to physical exams. Mental health exams require another layer of authorization.

Your claim has been "brokered". When a given VARO is too busy, they send claims to other stations that aren't as far behind. They in turn may broker claims to another station. It's a foolish game VA plays as they lose records and can't track files.
