I have been reading several posts on internet about Nehmer retro pay. They all give different answers. Jim will VA give retro pay IHD diagnosed at VAMC with MI back in 1994,VAMC has doctored me for this condition to present date. No previous claims filed.I filed claim in June 2011 for IHD and asked for pay back to 1994.Do I quailify for Nehmer retro pay? I meet all eligibility requirments.

Among other things, you'll find:
"If you had one of the diseases on or before August 31, 2010 and you file a claim by August 31, 2011, you will be entitled to benefits retroactive to August 31, 2010. If you had one of the diseases on or before August 31, 2010 and you file a claim after August 31, 2011, you will be entitled to benefits effective one year prior to the date of your claim. If you first began suffering from one of the diseases after August 31, 2010, benefits will only be paid from the date you file your claim with the VA."
