Jim's Reply:
The MISSION Act was recently enacted to allow us to see civilian providers on recommendation of our VA primary care provider while eliminating the billing SNAFUs of previous programs. We and the specialty care provider are usually sent a letter from TRIWEST telling us we have (x) months of care authorized and then the authorization must be renewed. Your first stop should be your primary care provider and if he or she can't help, call the White House Hot Line 855-948-2311 and explain the situation to them.
