Question:
Going in for re-exam after 3 yrs of 100% disability for lung cancer (was in Vietnam). What are residuals I should inform examiners of to hopefully continue getting disability? I am 76
Jim's Reply:
Lung cancer patients are often short of breath. Shortness of breath creates anxiety, sleeplessness, panic attacks, irritability and more. Home oxygen therapy is an easy and cost effective solution for all those problems. The veteran who is prescribed home oxygen therapy is usually continued at 100% rated for the duration of the home O2 therapy...forever.
Your VA doctor is usually happy to prescribe that for you and VA will set it up and show you how to get the best out of it. If you can do this before your exam, you should be all set.
