How can I rectify losing out on benefits because of a technicality in total and permanent disability?

Question

I have been rated 100% by the VA but I have not receive permanent and total. The VA letter said that I have one condition that will be re-evaluated for mental condition. But the issue I have is if the VA was to take away my mental condition I would still be at 100% for my static conditions. I was basically told that I am not considered total and permanent due to a technicality. I thought the benefits should be given in the favor of the veteran. I am losing out on critical additional benefits because I am not total and permanent. How can I get this rectified?

You must be patient. The path to a permanent rating will come after one or more "future exams" are conducted and no long term improvement is noted. We don't recommend that you pursue a permanent rating otherwise...you can open a can or worms and ultimately lose some ratings.
