Question:
Jim, I'm 45 and been prescribed Xanax 100 per month for several anxiety & panic attacks. Also, I received 60 Norco 10s per month from a family clinic. Since 2005 I have been with same group of doctors and go every 3 months. I went Friday and was told I was terminated,,, the said on last screen I had amphetamine in my system which wasn't aware of taking anything, asked to let me take another, lady up front said he won't even speak to me as I told her this is dangerous with my level of xanax100 pm. She said she could not do anything, I got my records and not sure what to do for I smoked pot but my doctor of years said it's no biggie just wanted to make sure I was taking my meds. Not fair for never felled a test but failed all tests every 6 months for marijuana for doctor had no problem... something that could have been a mistake, I am thrown out w dangerous to not have especially no advice...

You failed a drug test and this is what happens. You'll have to find another doctor who is willing to prescribe narcotics to you or learn to live without them. There is an acute drug abuse crisis in America today and the DEA is enforcing the rules and doctors have no choice or say in it. If I were you, I'd seek rehab PDQ.
