Question:
I draw 70% and Diabetes is 30% of the 70. Now I’m getting shots in my eyes for Diabetes Retinopathy. My question is, is this a secondary to diabetes and does VA usually increase the AO disability?
Jim's Reply:
Diabetic retinopathy is a secondary condition of diabetes. VA may compensate you for the new condition but only if you file for it per the usual routine. VA won't start the process unless and until you file a claim.
