C & P exams

Question:

I submitted a claim with VA in January 2020 for PTSD. Had c&p exam the first week of February and received a 70% PTSD rating around the end of February. Pretty quick I know. My total rating is 80% with other ailments I have. In April I submitted a TDIU claim and was sent to another c&p exam for PTSD in May by a different doctor than the one in February. A couple of weeks ago I received the VA envelope in the mail which stated my PTSD is being continued at 70% but the TDIU is being deferred for medical opinion. Last week I was informed I have another PTSD c&p scheduled for the first week of September and it will be with the same doctor who did the February exam. I am confused that I have to do two c&p exams for the same thing with this TDIU claim. Is this normal?

"Is this normal?"

In the world of VA exams, this happens a lot more than it should. We'll never really understand why VA schedules exams the way they do when the majority of exams make little or no difference in a rating. The best you can do is to go to anything and everything VA schedules you for and then wonder why. Good luck!
