Question:
I have an award letter that makes me permanently and totally disabled 100%. Can I work?
Jim's Reply:
Veterans who are rated as 100% by the schedule are allowed to work and earn income as they are able to. The veteran who is 100% due to the TDIU (unemployability) benefit rating is not allowed to work at gainful employment. Either the schedular 100% rating or the TDIU 100% rating may be permanent or it may be temporary. If the benefit is temporary, it will indicate that future exams are scheduled.
